The Sana Counselling Story

Supporting your mental health since 2016

Our registered counsellors believe in an integrated healing approach

Our work at Sana Counselling is inspired by holistic well-being and challenging outdated approaches to health care. Our methods acknowledge that a human’s physical and mental well-being are inextricable. Illness in the body is related to illness in the mind and vice versa. We look at you as a whole being, rather than just the sum of your parts.

Sana Counselling was founded with the goal of offering you the awareness, insight, understanding and ability to move forward in your life with fulfillment and clarity of mind and heart.

We are inspired by people’s resilience. Everyone has a story to tell. We want to offer you a space to be able to give voice to and heal what might be holding you back, or causing pain. We also want to help you overcome shame and stigma that may feel insurmountable from past or current illness or trauma.

Our Mission

“Sana Counselling is a fantastic! With the support of my counsellor I have been able to work through a number of personal experiences and trauma. I look forward to every session, which feels more like a conversation with a friend than a therapist where I unknowingly learn a lot about myself. If you’re looking for a personable and attentive counselling experience, look no further.” - TA

Let’s take this journey together

At Sana Counselling, we believe in educating our clients about the evidence-based approaches that we implement, like CBT, EMDR, Somatic Therapy, and Humanistic Method. Knowledge is a key support in applying specific tools and helping you understand and apply the benefits of particular resources or exercises.

We offer the tools to allow your mind and body to work together in achieving health, greater awareness, balance, and well-being. Our goal is to help you walk away with a sense of humble empowerment. We encourage a shift in perspective and more compassion in the community. Together, we can reduce the stigma around getting support for mental illness or issues.
