Relationship Counselling for Individuals in Vancouver

Build the tools you need to support your relationships

Relationships require work but with therapy, they can be playful again

Healthy human connection creates space for us to grow as people and is often the foundation for happiness and fulfillment in our lives. However, when connections are broken, they can be overwhelming and lead to anxiety, depression or at worst, trauma.

Even the most caring person can fall into unproductive patterns of behaviour. Healthy relationships require awareness around communication, reciprocation, respect, boundaries, insight, and consideration. Developing these skills through counselling is sometimes necessary to help you understand yourself and how you can communicate yourself better within your relationships.

Relationship counselling could be for you if you feel that…

  • It is difficult for you to feel safe or trust others
  • You need assistance in creating healthy boundaries as a couple or as an individual
  • You have difficulty with family members and/or friends
  • You tend to people please at your own expense
  • You are experiencing issues with your romantic partner
  • You feel fearful or embarrassed in social situations
  • You have lost your understanding of self and relationship to self during a transitional period
  • You want to feel confident making new connections
  • You want to deepen a connection
  • You want to implement better boundaries

Navigating relationship therapy solo

As human beings, we are constantly in relationship with others—whether it's with a partner, family, friends, or even colleagues. These relationships shape our experiences, emotions, and overall well-being.

Engaging in relationship counselling as an individual offers a unique opportunity to explore and understand relationship dynamics from a personal perspective. It provides a safe space to reflect on your feelings, behaviours, and patterns, allowing you to gain deeper insights into how you relate to others.

Taking the step to engage in relationship therapy as an individual is a proactive way to enhance your relationships and overall quality of life.
