About Keara
Life and its inevitable stressors can sometimes feel too overwhelming to manage and can make you feel stuck or helpless. I truly believe that we all are doing the best we can to cope with the tools that we have. Together, we can expand your capacity to cope with stressors and learn to manage emotions with acceptance rather than fear, bringing inner peace.
I work from a person-centered approach which means that I focus on creating a safe, collaborative, and trusting therapeutic space using empathy, understanding, and authenticity. I believe that we all have strengths and resilience within us. I work with my clients to nurture and bring forth these qualities. My ultimate goal in therapy is to support you in being true to yourself so that you can live a happy and healthy life.
I have worked with a diverse range of individuals in various settings. My experience allows me to support you in working with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. The discomfort and pain that is experienced with these issues often shows up in our bodies and can make it feel like we don’t have control of ourselves and our experiences. Using a trauma-informed approach, I work with you as a whole – mind and body – to bring healing, understanding, and hope.
As your therapist, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your healing journey. I truly believe that you know yourself best, and together we can learn how to navigate your path in life. Let’s walk together towards peace, empowerment, and fulfillment!
